My Landscape // Artis Inspo, Celeste

My friend recently recommended Aperture magazine to me, and I found this article about documenting personal and domestic spaces. I thought it was interesting and applicable to this current moment. https://aperture.org/blog/terror-pleasure-staying-home-sara-knelman/

The article highlighted the photographer Nan Goldin I really liked her work, specifically her series Berlin, https://www.anothermag.com/art-photography/717/nan-goldin-berlin I love her use of mirrors in particular.

I haven't had much drive to take photos recently, but what I have captured is within my house, just snapping moments more spontaneously. When I first got home, I read Just Kids by Patti Smith, and I would say she has also been another big artistic inspiration. Her relationship with Robert Mapplethorpe was so beautiful and a funny photo connection. I loved the book so much I made a small shrine to Patti Smith in my room cause it seemed like the thing she would do.
