Hello everyone!
I am struck by Lewis Hine's photographs documenting child labor in the early 1900s. I love how the factory rows frame and create beautiful lines throughout the images. The facial expressions and instants in which he captured the children make me want to know their back stories. Additionally, I find the quality and luminescence that he achieves through his B&W prints stunning.
Lewis Hine used his photographs as a method of spurring social reform. I find this concept continuously inspiring, especially during this era where smart phones and social media make image making and circulation incredibly quick and easy.
