Just wanted to share the work of one of my first favorites, Jacob Aue Sobol (b. 1976). Aue-Sobol is a photographer for Magnum Photos, and his work centers around people and what he describes as "the emotions that bind us together." Regardless of how effective his work at investigating these emotions (I suspect it is more of a personal investigation anyway), I really admire his work as I'm a sucker for his visual style (East European photo-angst) and the unguarded semi-portraits he can coax out of strange situations.
